Weston Favell School is delighted to have been recognised as a Technology College since 1997. What this means for students is enhanced provision in the technology linked subjects of ICT, Math’s, Science and Design Technology. It is our intention to build on current initiatives to further embed technology across the whole school curriculum, to impact positively on learning.
We have invested heavily in new interactive whiteboards to help bring a hi-tech focus to our teaching. One of our Deputy Headteachers holds a strategic overview for our Technology College specialism and he is working hard to ensure that our aspiration that Weston Favell School is a leading edge school for technology, becomes a reality. He is raising the profile of technology across the curriculum, targeting additional resourcing to key areas and ensuring high levels of uptake, provision and academic achievement in the technological subject areas. In this way we will prepare our youngsters to have the technological confidence that is vital in our modern world.
